Paul first got into photography just before University when he had an old 35mm SLR camera with a few lenses, at this stage it was just a hobby. It wasn’t until Paul went across to digital photography just over 4 years ago that he started to get serious. It was immediately apparant the digital suited Paul’s style and his artistic eye. The ability to shoot hundreds of photos in a single session allowed Paul the freedom and experimentation that film never allowed.
Paul’s experience in graphic design allows him to visualise shots that a lot of people can’t see. His fast shooting style also suits the candid style photographs that really capture true emotion. The flexibility of Paul’s camera also allows him to take shots that many cameras wouldn’t be able to manage.
Overall Paul’s style can be best described as fast, free, enthusiastic and experienced. Paul doesn’t worry about how a photo ‘should’ be taken, instead concentrating on getting the best possible photograph by whatever means possible. |
